Does it seem these days that people don’t ask good questions? Questions come with barbs all over them, or are asked in such a way that the answer is already obvious. God coming into the world raises some big questions about how we live in the wake of his coming. But we need to ask the right questions. This series will explore the questions asked of Paul by the Christians in Corinth. We’ll get at the questions behind their questions, to the good news for all of us – even here at the dawn of the 21st century. Jesus has come into the world, and nothing has been the same since.

How does Jesus’ coming change our world today?

Give Us a King!

Ordinary Phenomenon

In our world, we commonly outsource much of our life to professionals. We also have a tendency to do that with our faith as well. The story of Israel demanding a king in 1 Samuel demonstrates for us that God desires an unmediated relationship with us. It's scary, but we were created for that freedom!

From Series: "Ordinary Phenomenon"

How many times have you heard about one of those spectacular events in the Old Testament and thought, "It must be nice!" If only I had seen the Red Sea part, or Elijah's showdown on Mt. Carmel. Then it'd be so easy to trust God! But apparently that's not true. We see again and again that the big events aren't what transform us into God's people. Rather, we find God in the ordinary phenomena we see every day. Join us in January as we explore these Big Events to find what God was calling his people to then - and now: an ordinary, every day relationship that's nothing short of phenomenal.
