I Believe in the Resurrection of the Body

Believe

How we think about the afterlife shapes how we live today. Christians confess we believe our bodies will be raised. What implications does this have for how we live in the here and now? What does this mean for how we treat the world and each other?

From Series: "Believe"

What do Christians believe? The Apostles' Creed is one of the earliest statements of Christian beliefs. How does the Creed shape our church today? How does it shape our every day lives?

This is the season of the year when people start to think about monsters – ghosts and goblins and things that go bump in the night. We normally don’t think of monsters having anything to do with the Church, but we’d be wrong. The reason people tell monster stories is that monsters are a safe way to talk about things we’re not ready to admit about ourselves. We don’t want to see ourselves as selfish, unforgiving, ill-tempered. So we tell stories. We create monsters.
