We think of forgiveness as something we do with another person. But what happens when the other person isn't willing - or able - to reconcile? How can we find freedom from what was done to us? Joseph's story ends with a new world made possible by forgiveness and hope.

What's Summer without a road trip? We're travelling back to the stories of the Patriarchs - Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. They lived on the road, and in their travels, they encountered God in strange and unexpected ways. What do we learn about God on the road that we can't learn when we stay in our comfort zones? This is the season of the year when people start to think about monsters – ghosts and goblins and things that go bump in the night. We normally don’t think of monsters having anything to do with the Church, but we’d be wrong. The reason people tell monster stories is that monsters are a safe way to talk about things we’re not ready to admit about ourselves. We don’t want to see ourselves as selfish, unforgiving, ill-tempered. So we tell stories. We create monsters.
