What God Really Wants
Should the Church focus more on personal holiness or social justice? The question plagues many Christians, but it’s a false dichotomy. This week’s prophet and poet help us discern how we embody both by living in a covenant relationship with God.

Like the mixtapes young lovers used to make, we’re listening to the songs of God’s prophets and poets because such a powerful love can really only be expressed in song. Throughout history, God has made covenants with humanity. These covenants are promises to be faithful, to trust, to live together in peace. And over and over, humanity has broken those covenants. But now that God has come in Jesus, he is restoring broken covenants, healing broken relationships, reestablishing peace between God and humanity. This Lent, we look to Jesus to transform us and make us whole.
