When to Speak Up
What do you do when you hear someone tell a racist joke? Speaking up is hard - it makes us all feel awkward. And it's even worse to be called out. Why don't we just keep to ourselves? Paul's confrontation with Peter in Antioch illustrates why we have to speak up: God calls us all to be one, and we can't be one until we have justice. So what does that look like?

Jesus’ death and resurrection reconnect us with God, open up a world that has been lost to us since Sin entered into the world. So to kick off 2013, we’re going to dive into Genesis 1-2. We’ll explore God’s original intentions for the world, and the implications for our new life in Jesus. After all, in the new year, it’s good to get the First Things First!
