A life of faith often seems to make little sense in a faithless world. We struggle to find meaning and purpose because we lose sight of the end goal – Heaven on Earth. But when we keep the End in mind, we find the courage to participate in a bold, vulnerable community.

The Revelation offers us a powerful picture of who the Church is called to be: a reflection of Jesus in the world. By listening to them with pictures of Jesus from John's gospel, we see a clear picture of who we are called to be.

Who is God?
The answers to this most basic human question can be found in the Scriptures. Over and over, God comes to humanity, interacts with us in ways we can understand, and we learn more of who God is. Often in these interactions, the people who met God would give God a name – a way to describe how God had worked in their lives.
