A Breath of Fresh Air

Winds of Change

The first Easter was a time of fear and isolation. In other words, we have a lot more in common with the disciples on that first Easter than we usually do, when Easter is a big party in our church buildings. So what can we learn from that first Easter? How does Jesus' gift of the Holy Spirit offer hope to all us who are trapped inside today?

From Series: "Winds of Change"

We're stuck inside. Life feels still, even stale. We long for the world as it was only a couple of months ago. And yet, as on that first Easter day, Jesus is still at work. God is on the move, working newness even in locked rooms. The Holy Spirit is the breath of fresh air we need. How can we learn to spot the Spirit at work around us and within us?

Ask most people if God speaks to them and they’ll wonder if you’re crazy. Most people think God only speaks to the very religious or the not-quite sane. But what if God is speaking to everyone? What if – because Jesus has come – God’s voice is all around us, in our every day lives? How can we hear God’s voice? What does God sound like? What is God saying? In this series, we’ll learn how to hear the God who is speaking to all of us.
