Loving those who are different from us is difficult. But Jesus tells us loving even our enemies is the path to a flourishing life. How can we learn to love those we see as enemies - especially when they are not across the world, but next door to us?

How do we know if we're a whole person? Sin never begins full grown - it starts as seeds buried deep within us. Jesus told us a fully human life is one where we love God with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. After we explore what Jesus meant by those terms, we'll see how we can use each as a lens to investigate ourselves. We'll discover the seeds of sin hiding within us so we can pluck them out before they can grow to full bloom!

Too often, we think faith is about winning – getting our way in the culture or in our homes. But during Lent, we’ll trace the human journey through the Old Testament and see that getting what we want never works out like we hope. We’ll see how Jesus enters into our failure and becomes a loser just like us. Somehow, his failure is good news for us.
