We are Forgivers
Forgiveness is difficult because wrongs create a relational debt. To forgive is to release someone from a genuine debt they owe us. We find the ability to forgive in God’s forgiveness toward us, a forgiveness that has been ours since before the world began. A forgiveness sealed at the cross. A forgiveness that invites us into God’s new life. How can we participate in God’s forgiveness?

We’re taught by our culture that we should be self-sufficient. But God never designed us to do life alone. We don’t find success in chasing one more God-moment. Rather, we should look for those who are Before, Beside and Behind us. We’ll call these intentional, life-giving relationships “mentoring relationships“. What do these relationships look like? How can we foster them in our daily lives?
