Advent is the season in which we prepare to welcome Jesus into the world. It’s a season of hope – the light has not come, but it is coming into the world. It’s the time of day just before the sun peeks over the horizon. As we anticipate Jesus’ birth, we come to realize that God’s story didn’t end at Christmas – it was only beginning. And the story is still being told today – a story of love, hope and promise.

What does it mean to say that God is still telling the great story of love through us?

Stuff: What is it Good For?

You Had to Be There

We look at the "stuff" in our lives as blessings from God. But what is all this stuff really for? Why does God give us material wealth? The story of the Rich Man and Lazarus in Luke 16 points toward a beautiful truth: Our stuff is an invitation from God to join in new life!

From Series: "You Had to Be There"

The way Jesus taught attracted every kind of person, from the ultra-religious to the irreligious. What was it about his teaching? We miss how provocative his parables were because we're not first century Galilean peasants. In this series, we ask what it would be like if Jesus came today. What would his stories sound like? Just how good is this good news? Trust us... you had to be there.
