We avoid pain and grief as much as possible. When faced with someone else’s grief, we avoid or offer platitudes. But the book of Lamentations invites us to sit with grief, to enter into the prophetic process of Lament. In this series, we’ll explore how to grieve and how to be a friend to the grieving.

Ultimately, we’ll see how the process of lament invites us to be agents of healing in the larger world.

Who is this God Speaking

Is This On?

We imagine that to find God, we have to leave our everyday lives – carve out special time or make it to church on Sundays. God, it seems, can only be found outside our lives. But in Jesus, God reveals himself to be the God of the everyday. The God of the hustle and bustle, the God of the trivial and the important. To hear this God, we don’t need to stop our lives. We only need to start.

From Series: "Is This On?"

Ask most people if God speaks to them and they'll wonder if you're crazy. Most people think God only speaks to the very religious or the not-quite sane. But what if God is speaking to everyone? What if - because Jesus has come - God's voice is all around us, in our every day lives? How can we hear God's voice? What does God sound like? What is God saying? In this series, we'll learn how to hear the God who is speaking to all of us.
