Don Draper Stole Our Imaginations

Don Draper Stole Our Imaginations

Our main source of dissatisfaction with our bodies is media. Led by ad men, who make billions from our self-loathing, the media steals away our imaginations. How can we steal them back, make our conceptions of beauty functions of virtue again?

From Series: "Crave"

We're made in God's image, but we have bodies, while God is spirit. Are our bodies accidental? Are they temporary? Or are they good, vital and essential to our spirituality? How can we resist the cultural narrative that teaches us to hate our bodies?

Why is it so hard for the Church to live as Jesus in the world? Why such a sharp divide between the love and mercy of God and the way Christians interact with each other and the world? The Revelation offers us a powerful picture of who the Church is called to be: a reflection of Jesus in the world. By listening to them with pictures of Jesus from John’s gospel, we see a clear picture of who we are called to be.

How can the Church be a faithful reflection of Jesus in the world?
