When we're struggling, we need a community where it's safe to grieve, ask questions and be vulnerable. Unfortunately, Church is often a place we have to fake it. But God invites both thanksgiving and lament - both are vital to our spiritual health. So how can we be a community that tells the whole story of God?
What does it mean that God is FOR the world? Epiphany is the season that celebrates the revelation of God to the world. Epiphany asks, Who is this god who came among us? Like the mixtapes young lovers used to make, we’re listening to the songs of God’s prophets and poets because such a powerful love can really only be expressed in song. How do we know God? Not just know about God, but have a deep, personal relationship with the creator of the universe – how do we KNOW God? In this series, we’ll explore our four sources of knowing God: what we experience in our life, the cloud of witnesses we call the church both local and universal, our ability to reason and the Scriptures. How does each of these four sources help us better know God?
